John McCarthy (“Abu Hanna”) is a certified “Lebanon lover” who studied Arabic at Princeton and Shemlan, lived in Beirut 1964-1975, visited regularly as an International College (IC) Trustee from 1999 and retired in Ras Beirut in 2024.
